Navigating the inner passages of the Pyramids of Giza presents a unique experience, characterized by confined spaces and heightened temperatures. As such, it's advisable to exercise caution if you have concerns related to claustrophobia. Furthermore, be prepared for a fair amount of walking as you explore the expansive Pyramids complex. Summer visits can be particularly scorching, with limited shade available. Therefore, it's crucial to dress appropriately, shield yourself from the sun's intensity, and ensure you have an ample supply of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Additionally, please take note that there is a supplementary EGP 50 fee for those wishing to capture memories through photography within the museum's confines.
Day 3 : ASWAN
Aswan, Egypt's southernmost gem, welcomes you with open arms, where the tranquil Nile flows gracefully, Elephantine Island beckons with its mysteries, and white-sailed feluccas gracefully drift along the water's surface. The city's relaxed allure owes much to its vibrant Nubian community. Today marks a day of leisure, offering the perfect opportunity to explore the captivating sites of Aswan. Perhaps venture to the intriguing unfinished obelisk or pay homage to the monumental High Dam. Don't miss the vibrant Nubian Bazaar, a treasure trove of local culture, and make your way to the esteemed Nubian Museum, a favored stop for many travelers.
For a truly remarkable experience, set your sights on the resplendent Temple of Isis, once imperiled by the Nile's rising tides but now majestically situated on Philae Island. As you stroll along the picturesque Aswan Corniche, which graces the Nile's banks, consider pausing for a refreshing mint tea and savor the moment.
Tonight, an enriching encounter awaits as you delve into modern Nubian culture. Venture to a nearby village and become an honorary guest of a local Nubian family for an unforgettable dinner.
